Urmi Dokra Brass Ring

Drawing inspiration from the flowing rivers of Bengal and primitive tribal symbology, the Urmi Ring translates kinetic rhythm into warm, hand-cast brass. The design unfolds as an undulating zig-zag wave reminiscent of folk water motifs (dheu), culminating in a tight concentric spiral sun disk. Crafted using the four-millennia-old cire-perdue (lost-wax) casting method, each rhythmic crest was sculpted by hand using kneaded beeswax threads before being encased in river clay and fired in an open wood kiln. The piece bears the distinctive organic texture, warm satin finish, and subtle hand-cast variations authentic to true Dokra craft. Its open, flexible silhouette allows it to be worn comfortably as an adjustable bypass ring or clipped on as a statement ear cuff. Style it effortlessly with handloom saris, khadi tunics, or minimal contemporary ensembles.
