Mour Dokra Brass Bracelet
Description
Rooted in the timeless folk iconography of rural Bengal, the Mour Dokra Bracelet celebrates fluid movement and ancient metalcraft. The dual terminals mirror each other in an elegant, flame-like swirl reminiscent of a stylized kolka (paisley) or peacock's crest (mour-shikha). Each curvilinear contour and coiled wire binding was originally rolled by hand using beeswax threads, set into river clay, and cast through the traditional cire-perdue method. The resulting solid brass cuff carries the raw, organic warmth and tactile character inherent to authentic Dokra art. Designed with an open, pliable structure, it slips effortlessly onto the wrist for a tailored, comfortable fit. Pair it with handloom cottons, raw silk kurtas, or clean western separates for an artisanal statement.
