Drawing from the clean geometric patterns of Bengal’s 4,000-year-old cire-perdue (lost-wax) metalcasting tradition, the Chouko-Jhumko Earrings bring architectural symmetry into everyday, kinetic jewelry. Each drop features a labyrinthine square vortex that spirals inward to an organic circular center, hand-sculpted by rural artisans using flexible beeswax threads laid over an alluvial clay mold. Fired in traditional open-pit kilns, the melted wax is replaced by molten brass, producing the soft antique-gold glow, tactile ridge variations, and earthy character unique to true Dokra craft. Suspended from matching brass French wire hooks, the pendants catch light and movement effortlessly.
