Trikona Dokra Brass Ring
Description
Rooted in the primal geometry of rural Bengal's 4,000-year-old lost-wax (cire-perdue) metalcasting tradition, the Trikona Ring brings an earthy, graphic balance to everyday jewelry. The design pairs a downward-tapering triangular vortex with an elevated circular coil, creating an open silhouette that elongates the finger. Rural artisans carefully manipulate flexible beeswax threads across a clay mold to set the geometric contours, which are later replaced by molten brass in an open-pit kiln. The finished brass piece reflects the tactile warmth, subtle asymmetries, and satin-gold luster characteristic of traditional Dokra art. Built with an open bypass band, it gently flexes to contour comfortably around any finger. An effortless focal piece to pair with Dhakai Jamdani saris, handloom tunics, or structured western neutrals.
