Meenakshi (মীনাক্ষী) | Silver Replica Folk Fish Motif & Seed Pearl Cluster Drop Earrings

This pair of drop earrings is a tribute to Bengal’s folk iconography, riverine culture, and auspicious aquatic symbols:

• The Focal Motif: A folk-art fish (Macher chhanche / Matsya) sculpted in an upward crescent leap, featuring a smooth, stylized head, fin crests, and a split fin tail.

• The Surface Texturing: Deeply stippled, granulated scale work across the body with rich antique oxidized crevices that give it the feel of hand-cast Dokra or vintage brassware.

• The Kinetic Pearl Droplets: A crescent-shaped fringe of clustered, luminous white seed pearls (muktachhur) suspended from individual wire rings beneath the fish's underbelly, swaying like river foam or dewdrops.

• The Silhouette & Fastening: Balanced, lightweight drop earrings suspended from slender, curved shepherd hooks attached to the dorsal spine.

• Aesthetic: Bengal folk-revival meets artisanal bohemian charm. The fish—an enduring Bengali symbol of prosperity, abundance, and auspicious beginnings (Shubho)—is reimagined into an everyday literary statement piece for Koliq.
