Chourash Dokra Brass Ring
Description
Honoring the primal geometric language of Bengal’s 4,000-year-old cire-perdue (lost-wax) casting art, the Chourash Ring translates architectural structure into a bold, wearable signet. The centerpiece features a labyrinthine square spiral paired dynamically with an upright circular coil, bound together by fine hand-wrapped wire detailing. Rural artisans craft every linear angle and coil contour by hand using flexible beeswax threads overlaid on an alluvial clay core, firing the mold in earth kilns where molten brass permanently captures the design. The band is designed with an open, adjustable bypass shank, allowing you to comfortably size it across different fingers. A standout sculptural accent to pair with handwoven cotton sarees, raw silk kurtis, or contemporary minimalist fusion wear.
