Chokro Dokra Brass Bracelet
Description
Balancing geometric contrast and primal folk motifs, the Chokro-Kona Bracelet highlights the versatility of Bengal’s 4,000-year-old cire-perdue (lost-wax) casting art. Each open terminal splits into a dual motif: an expanding circular spiral echoing sun discs (chokro) set directly beside an upward-sweeping triangular spiral (trikona). Artisans shape every wire contour and binding coil by hand from beeswax threads over an earthen clay base, firing the mold in rustic wood kilns to replace the wax with pure, molten brass. The resulting piece features the signature raw warmth, subtle artisanal textures, and organic sheen of authentic Dokra craft. Designed with an adjustable open-cuff silhouette, it gently flexes to contour comfortably around the wrist. An ideal piece to elevate handwoven khadi, tussar silk sarees, or contemporary neutral tailoring.
