Boikali (বৈকালী) Dokra Brass Bajuband
Description
Forged through the four-millennia-old cire-perdue (lost-wax) casting tradition preserved across Bengal's artisanal belts, the Boikali Bajuband embodies pure Dokra metalcraft. Before casting in molten brass, each concentric triangular swirl and binding detail was sculpted by hand using kneaded beeswax threads. The mold was then fired in traditional earth kilns, creating a non-ferrous heirloom with the organic imperfections and raw, warm luster unique to true Dokra pieces. Designed as a versatile, open-ended cuff, it molds comfortably around the bicep or forearm. Pair it with handloom cotton sarees, tussar silk, or minimalist contemporary silhouettes for a grounded, folk-art statement.
